Our history
Founded as part of the Swiss industrial group Georg Fischer AG, headquartered in Schaffhausen (Switzerland).
Development of the first GF saws, which laid the foundation for our cutting technology.
Founding of Rohrverbindungstechnik GmbH in Singen, Germany.
Entry into the Asian, Eastern European, and CIS markets (Commonwealth of Independent States), as well as the acquisition of US activities to strengthen our global presence.
Transition from Georg Fischer AG to ITW (Illinois Tool Works) Inc. and renaming of Rohrverbindungstechnik GmbH to Orbitalum Tools GmbH.
Orbitalum Tools GmbH acquires Orbimatic GmbH to strengthen its orbital welding solutions.
Orbitalum Tools and Orbimatic merge into the new Orbitalum Tools GmbH, becoming a full-service provider of orbital pipe processing solutions.
Orbitalum Tools GmbH and E.H. Wachs join forces under a shared brand to strengthen their global presence.
Closer collaboration within the ITW Welding Group through shared resources with Miller Electric and Elga Consumables.
Orbitalum Tools GmbH sends a clear signal for growth and long-term viability at Orbitalum’s headquarters in Singen: the construction of a new central warehouse and a new administration building are necessary investments to ensure continued, sustainable growth and to enable the development, production, and shipment of innovative products for customers worldwide in the future.
