Global Value Change

This software function can be used to transfer the welding parameters in one sector to all subsequent sectors.

See how easy it is to set up this feature.

In orbital welding, the welding process is divided into several sectors to ensure high quality and consistency of the weld seam. This method ensures even heat distribution while preventing overheating and distortion. The individual monitoring and processing of each sector enables precise control of the welding parameters. The result is a consistently high weld seam quality.

In many cases, it makes sense to set key parameters, such as current, pulse time or welding speed, globally for all sectors in order to achieve a uniform weld seam. This can be easily set in the welding program using the "Global Value Change" button. This avoids the operator from having to select each individual sector when changing the welding parameters globally.

How it works

  1. Go to the welding program and select the first sector in the welding spiral.
  2. In the sector, you can now make settings for welding in this area. This includes these welding parameters: Current, pulse time and welding speed.
  3. If you want to transfer the settings from the first sector to the subsequent sectors, click on the "Global Value Change" button (at the bottom of the menu bar).
  4. Please confirm the transfer of the welding parameters by clicking on "Yes".
  5. Check in all sectors whether the changes from the first sector have been correctly transferred to the subsequent sectors.
