Internship/Thesis Product Development Orbital Welding Technology (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

• You will get to know our products, focus industries, and the challenges involved in producing
  high-quality pipe connections
• With your project, you will contribute to the future-oriented alignment of one of our products
  with future customer requirements
• You will develop a mechanical concept for a selected component – either
  a welding power source or a welding head
• You will research alternative materials and manufacturing processes
• You will perform technical investigations (FEM simulation) regarding temperature and
  dimensional stability, as well as wear and insulation resistance
• You will create a CAD design
• You will conduct an economic feasibility study with regard to quality, costs, and
  procurement time
• With your solution, you will contribute to increased product quality and the reduction of
  manufacturing costs
• Depending on your area of interest, we will define your specific
  focus within the topic together with you

Your Profile

• Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or
  a comparable technically oriented degree program
• Independent, proactive, and diligent way of working
• Curiosity about product development in welding technology in a global customer market
• Initial experience with CAD programs is an advantage
• Very good German and English skills
