The Gas Overview is a visual software control unit. Here, all gas flows and settings for the welding process can be defined, tested, and controlled.

The Gas Overview is an integral component of our software. It is a visual software control unit through which all gas flows and settings for the welding process can be defined, tested, and controlled. Additionally, the values defined here can be saved in a welding program, thereby overriding all manual purge settings for the weld head and power source.
The Gas Overview enables the operator to adjust the flow rates of the shielding gases directed to the weld head. Furthermore, the volume of the supplied gas can be controlled, adjusted, and verified to ensure it meets the requirements of the welding process. The Gas Overview also features a test function to determine the maximum gas flow rate.
Please note that in the USA, the unit for gas is CFH!
How It Works

You can access the Gas Overview through any welding program. Simply select the “Gas Overview” option in the purge section.

On the left side of the Gas Overview, three selectable gas control areas are displayed: Pre-Flow Gas, Post-Flow Gas, and Permanent Gas.

In these areas, settings can be made for Flow Force activation, Flow Force time, and flow rate. An important setting is also the Permanent Gas. This can be configured independently and individually for each welding program to maintain gas flow between welding sequences.

On the right side, there is a visual representation of the flow rates and times that dynamically adapts to the changes made.

Additionally, you have the option to perform a limit value test to verify the maximum flow rates of your power source. When the “Limit Value Test” button in the lower menu bar is activated, the gas flow rate values are automatically set to 15% below the maximum flow rate of the power source.

Save these values in the program. To do this, select quick save and confirm with “Yes”.
