Internship or thesis: Optimising the EMC of a welding inverter (m/f/d)
Type: Full-time position
Location: Singen, Germany
In the context of increasing digitalization, challenges regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) are rising. In your thesis, you will conduct EMC measurements and simulations with the aim of reducing the electromagnetic interference of a welding inverter.
Your Responsibilities
- You will conduct a literature review and gain an overview of
existing research, technologies and solutions in the field of EMC optimisation and
simulation. - You will review the current state of the art regarding the EMC of a selected welding inverter
and, based on laboratory measurements and numerical simulations, identify the
main causes of EMC issues. - You will develop an approach to EMC optimisation, taking technical
and economic aspects into account. - You will implement your solution approaches on a selected welding inverter and
carry out EMC tests to evaluate the effectiveness of your solutions. - You will compile your research results, improvement strategy and recommendations for
future research in a comprehensive report.
Your Profile
- Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field
